Idaho State Beef Ambassador Heads to New Orleans

Stetson Wilson, 2007 Idaho Beef Ambassador, will head to New Orleans, Louisiana, in October to compete in the National Beef Ambassador contest.  Stetson will compete against other state ambassadors for scholarships, cash awards, and the national title.  Contestants are judged on a presentation of a speech regarding beef or the beef industry, questions derived from the speech, and an interview conducted by a panel of judges on current issues pertaining to the beef industry.  Click here for more information on the National Competition.

Stetson is currently a junior at the University of Montana - Western in Dillon, Montana where he serves as the Student Body Vice President and competes on the rodeo team.   Stetson hales from Pocatello and is the son of Brad and Brenda Wilson.

The National Beef Ambassador Program is funded in part by the national beef checkoff, which is administered by the Cattlemen's Beef Board (CBB). The American National CattleWomen, Inc. (ANCW) coordinates the National Beef Ambassador Program with the National Cattlemen's Beef Association (NCBA). Both ANCW and NCBA serve as contractors for the Beef Board for checkoff-funded programs.

The National Beef Ambassador Program provides an opportunity for youth to become spokespersons and future leaders for the beef industry.  For more information on the National Beef Ambassador Program, click here
