The
Idaho Beef Backer awards program was established
by the Idaho Beef Council to recognize independent and chain restaurants
that go the extra mile selling and promoting beef and positively
portraying the beef industry.
All Idaho restaurants are encouraged to enter the
Idaho Beef Backer contest. To enter the Idaho Beef Backer contest,
restaurants must submit a completed application package by the deadline. Completed application
packages should include the following materials:
Completed entry form (pdf)
Copy (or original) menu from their restaurant
Supporting materials are optional. They can include
letters of recommendation, newspaper clippings featuring your
restaurant, photos of beef displays, beef-related advertising efforts,
or any additional information to document your efforts.
Completed application packages should be mailed to:
Idaho Beef Council, Beef Backer Contest, 2118 Airport Way, Boise, ID
83705. Entries must be postmarked by Friday, October 15, 2007
to be considered.
Winning restaurants will be selected on their beef menu
applications, beef promotion programs, and over-all quality. Winners
receive an award plaque to hang in their restaurants, publicity in local, state,
and regional media throughout the year. Winners in each category will automatically be
entered in the National Beef Backer Contest.
