the 2007 National Beef Cook-Off held on September 13, 2007 in Chicago, Illinois
Dakota. Her $50,000 winning recipe - Nuevo Chipotle Beef in Butternut

The nation's eating habits change regularly, but what
remains constant is beef's ability to provide both nourishment and enjoyment for
America's families. The 27th National Beef Cook-off urged family chefs to
send in their original beef recipes that provide a great eating experience,
while supplying fuel for their family's active lifestyle.
Family chefs were challenged to "Seize Life" and discover
new ways to enjoy the fabulous taste, versatility, and ease of preparation that
make beef the No. 1 protein choice. The result was 20 winning recipes, chosen
from thousands of entries, sent by beef-loving cooks from across the country.
America's appetite for beef continues to grow, and the recipes selected are
wonderful additions to today's recipe box.
In addition to the "Best of Beef" grand prize, the
Cook-Off also honored category winners and category runners-ups. This
