REPORTS TO: CEO
EXEMPT/Non-Exempt: Non-Exempt; Full-Time
In a state where cattle outnumber people, the Idaho beef industry is an integral part of local communities and the economy of Idaho. The Idaho Beef Council is a consumer-focused, producer-directed organization representing Idaho's multigenerational ranchers. We help provide education to the consumers on behalf of these families to help build awareness and express the importance of the process. We also engage in activities that demonstrate that beef is not only delicious, but is a powerful ally in building healthy bodies, thriving communities, and a strong economy for Idahoans.
The Program Manager assists in implementing strategies according to the approved annual market plan for the Idaho Beef Council to promote and increase demand for beef products and to serve beef stakeholders. The PM works in collaboration with the CEO, Office Manager, and other IBC personnel to ensure that projects and campaigns produce the outcomes and impacts outlined in the Performance Monitoring Plan. The PM assists the CEO to develop appropriate monitoring metrics and provides input for well-written and complete documentation of achievements for reporting purposes. This position is also responsible for ongoing market analysis, including emerging trends, challenges, and other measures that are discovered, shared with pertinent IBC staff, and incorporated into strategies to achieve the vision and mission of the IBC.
The Program Manager, in collaboration with and under the supervision of the CEO, will manage and coordinate marketing efforts and direct Program Assistants to accomplish tasks and timelines. The PM will liaise with targeted audiences through planning and directing promotions and promotional materials, press releases, media organization communications, website management, and social media. The PM should be both business-minded and creative to determine targets, budgets, and strategies for education, training, and promotional activities under B2B and B2C program categories provided by the IBC on behalf of the Board of Directors and the Idaho beef industry.
